In Closing Statements, Prabowo Preaches for Strong Economy, as Joko Says He Adheres to Constitution

Jakarta. In closing statements of the second presidential debate, Prabowo Subianto said that he and his running mate Hatta Rajasa seek to establish a strong economy that stands on its own feet, that the state is for the best interest of the people, and that they intend to increase the welfare of farmers, seamen, street vendors, teachers and factory workers.
“Our goal is for Indonesia to be respected for the welfare of its people,” Prabowo said
For his statement, Joko Widodo said, “I grew up here in Indonesia since my youth.”
“I adhere only to the constitution,” he stressed.
