Like a breath of fresh air with a hint of sweet-smelling incense, Seminyak greets you the moment you land in Bali — all ready and giddy to start a vacation. Always busy with a delightful mix of rustic glamor, this world-famous beachside strip is definitely filled with promises of fun in the sun, ultimate beach-bumming, trendy hangout places, fabulous eateries, enticing shopping scene and exciting nightlife.
Seminyak was previously what people referred to as the street that connects Kuta and Legian beaches with Padma and Double Six beaches, but these days it has continued further to Oberoi to Petitenget or the other direction to Kerobokan, all the way to Echo Beach.
Seminyak has everything you will ever need – from stunning luxury villas to modest homestays, from Michelin-star worthy fine-dining restaurants to cozy warungs, selling mouthwatering local delicacies.

Starting a day in Seminyak means waking up at around noon, and then hopping on a bike to go to one of the neighboring breakfast places. The all-time-favorite places to visit include Lanai or Zanzibar, where you can sit in the balcony facing Double Six Beach, sipping Bali coffee and devouring eggs benedict while watching new surfers trying out the mild waves.
Another great choice is to visit Corner Store on Oberoi – a groovy spot with a tiny garden on the side, serving yummy, wholesome shakes and fantastic sandwiches. There is also Ubud’s Seminyak branch of Bali Buddha in Kerobokan that sells you organic coffee with an assortment of heavenly fresh-from-the-oven breads and pastries.
Completing brunch suggests that you can spend the afternoon at the beach with a good book, sunglasses and a bottle of SPF lotion. Kuta, Legian, and Double Six Beach are hectic with swarms of masseuses and hawkers. So, avoid those and head to quieter beaches like Padma, Mesari or Batu Belig.
Soaking up in the sunlight may make you awfully thirsty. To quench your thirst, walk over to La Plancha on Mesari or La Barca on Batu Belig to sit on one of the plush beach couches and sip coconut-infused cocktails or margaritas with crushed ice while watching the orange-and-purple sunset.

In the nighttime, Seminyak gives you a plethora of choices on what to do. Dining at restaurants like La Sal, Sarong or Metis is always such a treat because of their delicious food and excellent service. For more casual dinner with a group of friends opt for Rumours, Ultimo or Sea Circus where everything is very affordable but no less scrumptious.
End your night with drinks by the beach at Woo Bar, Ku De Ta or Potato Head — or if it gets too windy to be outdoor, dance the night away at Hu’u.
This, indeed, will be just a regular Seminyak day for you.
