Jakarta. A month after first reported missing, Jakarta police say they remain clueless on the whereabouts of Wisnu Tjandra, a close aide of conglomerate Tomy Winata.
“We have issued the announcement, detailing his profile, spreading them to West Java and Central Java,” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said on Wednesday. “Hopefully people will see them. Those who has ever seen him or may now his location, please contact the number [on the announcement].”
Rikwanto said police have also expanded their search to areas outside Jakarta, such as West Java. “Our members are still searching for him,” he said.
Wisnu, a director at Tomy’s Artha Graha group, has been missing since May 11. He reportedly left his house for the Artha Graha office building in Sudirman, South Jakarta, in a Toyota Camry sedan. He was said to have spent the whole day at his office, leaving at 10 p.m.
Wisnu joined the group in 1989 and was made a director at the listed Jakarta International Hotels & Development in 2012. The company operates several hotels, including Hotel Borobudur in Central Jakarta and Kartika Plaza in Kuta, Bali.
Jakarta International Hotels & Development, a publicly traded company founded in 1969, has plans to build the country’s largest-ever infrastructure project — linking the islands of Java and Sumatra. It also plans to construct the country’s tallest building, the 105-story Signature Tower in Central Jakarta.
